Dave Rabbit Band Of The Week “Helix” ... 10:00
Formed in Canada in 1974 the Helix band has been recording and performing for over thirty years. The band started as a six piece group with two guitarists, a keyboard player, a bass player, a drummer and a lead vocalist. Their first album, Breaking Loose, was released as an independent in 1979 which was extremely rare at that time. The only remaining member of the original 1974 version of Helix is lead vocalist Brian Vollmer. Bassist Daryl Gray was the next most tenured member of Helix with close to twenty years with the band.
